A new Italian studio, Unreal Engine 5, and the physics of Kunos Simulazioni – Assetto Corsa Rally enters Steam Early Access with the promise of the most realistic rally simulation yet.
The world of sim racing is gearing up for a new beginning. At the SimRacing Expo 2025, Assetto Corsa Rally was officially unveiled – the first rally entry in the legendary series, set to release on Steam Early Access on November 13, 2025 at a price of €29.99.
The game is developed by the new Italian studio Supernova Games Studios, part of the Digital Bros group, which also includes the creators of the original Assetto Corsa – Kunos Simulazioni. Although Kunos is not leading the project, they provided their renowned physics engine, adapted for off-road and rally conditions.

True Rally Simulation with Unreal Engine 5
Assetto Corsa Rally combines the realistic physics of Assetto Corsa with the power of Unreal Engine 5 to deliver an authentic driving experience across asphalt, gravel, and mud. All roads and vehicles are laser-scanned, marking the first time this level of accuracy has been used in a rally simulation.
The Early Access version will feature 33 km of real-life stages across France (Alsace) and Wales, divided into four stages with 18 variants. The full release will expand to over 120 km of roads across five countries and more than 35 stages.
From Classic Icons to Modern Rally2 Cars
The game will cover six eras of rally history – from the classics like Lancia Fulvia and Fiat 131 Abarth to modern Hyundai i20 Rally2 and Peugeot 208 Rally4. The final edition will feature over 30 cars, each created using CAD data and 3D scans from real vehicles.

Realism Down to the Last Detail
Assetto Corsa Rally simulates dynamic weather, temperature, humidity, and surface water, all of which affect grip and handling. Damage is both visual and mechanical, and the sounds are recorded from real cars. Co-driver pacenotes were developed in collaboration with professional rally co-drivers.
Game Modes, Technology, and the Future
Early Access will include five game modes, online leaderboards, and special events, with multiplayer arriving later. Planned features include a career mode, rally school, triple-screen support at launch, and VR support in the full release.
“The question ‘When will there be a rally version of Assetto Corsa?’ has been one of the most frequently asked over the years. Now, we can finally deliver the answer that fans deserve,” said Marco Massarutto, co-founder of Kunos Simulazioni.
With its combination of realistic physics, highly detailed stages, and legendary cars, Assetto Corsa Rally has the potential to fill the gap left by DiRT Rally. Early impressions are extremely positive, and November 13 looks set to become a new milestone for all fans of realistic rally simulators.
